About this scan
Private pregnancy scans use ultrasound to monitor baby's development, check for structural abnormalities, confirm dates, and provide reassurance throughout your pregnancy. Unlike NHS scans (which typically include only the 12-week dating scan and 20-week anomaly scan), private scans can be booked at any stage, including early pregnancy from 6 weeks.
